From Lana:

"Hi! I'm Lana, and I'm the head cheese around here, I mean, big cheese, I mean, cheese head... I run the joint! :)

"I am mom to two adorable, evil boys. (Seriously, they are great kids, just "too normal" sometimes! LOL) Seth is 15 and a Freshman and Tanner is 10 and is a big 5th grader this year! I'm also "mom" to 3 cats and a handful of fish that will vary in quantity depending on which store you buy them from and how good their return policy is on dead fish! :p

"I grew up in Iowa and moved to Missouri at the ripe old age of 18. My dream was to be a reporter, and I worked at a newspaper for 4 years. Most of those years in composing (building ads and pages). Composing was a great start to scrapbooking, and I had no clue at the time. I WAS a reporter for 3 months and hated it. LOL. (Obits are depressing). It didn't take forever for me to figure out that I didn't like working for other people so in 1992 I started working for myself and opened a craft mall that I sold after 4 years. I made artist teddy bears for several years which gave me the opportunity to fall in love with traveling. I met great friends all around the world through teddy bears!

"In 2000, I took a trip with a friend and wanted to immortalize it in a scrapbook. It was all down hill from there! Never being one to actually just have a "hobby", I threw myself into it and within a year, I won the 2001 CK Hall of Fame. The next year I won the 2002 Scrapbook Borders Design Team and served on it for several years which worked into also doing some designing for other companies including EK Success, K & Company and Serendipity Stamps.

"In 2003, we set out on the adventure called "The Designer's Library by Lana. It has been a winding road, but full of adventure and creativity.

"Recently, Design Originals licensed some of the Designer's Library products and were released at CHA in July! You can get them right here at The Designer's Library, or you can pick them up in your local scrapbook store. Ask for them if you don't see them!!

"And if I wasn't busy enough... I also create one of a kind (most of them anyway) purses and handbags and sell them frequently on eBay. I have hopes of creating a company to manufacture my designs. The are a bit "Kooky" (much like me). So much so, that we decided to name the company 'Kooky Couture'."
